Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated, no clasp (Lieut: 2/Manch: R.); India General Service 1854-95, two clasps, Burma 1887-89, 1885-7 (L: 2nd Bn Manch:); Khedive's Star 1882, contact marks from Star to rank and unit of I.G.S., otherwise nearly very fine or better, together with related three minature awards, both groups mounted as originally worn (6)

Lieutenant Colonel Ralph Anstruther Henderson, born 1859, entered the 96th Foot as 2nd Lieutenant, 1879, transferred to the Manchester Regiment as Lieutenant 1881; employed on Special Service, Burma Expedition 31.12.1886 to December 1887, advanced to Captain the following year; rose to Lieutenant Colonel and sometime Inspector General of Military Prisons; retired 1910.
