Kaltenborn, Hans American radio personality and journalist (1878-1965); admired for his precise diction, ad libs, and depth of knowledge. Pair of TLS "H.V. Kaltenborn," each 1/3p, 4to, on his imprinted stationery, Brooklyn, 9/27/1932 and 3/29/1937 In the first, he writes to Miss Julia B. Taylor of Baltimore about whether he will air in that city, adding "I can imagine how much radio means to someone who, like yourself, is shut away from the world..." In a letter to another Baltimorean, he regrets "that Baltimore does me wrong by not carrying my radio talks...When local stations have a commercial, they let no sustaining feature interfere..."
