Brown, Joe E. American comedic actor (1892-1973); started out in vaudeville; though he enjoyed a long and successful film and stage career, best remembered for his later role in the classic Some Like It Hot. Program Signed "To Harriet - Joe E. Brown / 1 - 16 - 46" on photographic front cover. A copy of "The Playgoer" for his starring turn in the traveling production of Harvey, for a performance at the Geary Theatre in San Francisco. The role signaled Brown´s return to regular performing after spending the World War II years entertaining troops. Discoloration at left edge of cover, edge wear to poorly aligned interior page, otherwise very good. Estimate US$ 50-60
