Philippine-American War: Hanging Choice trio of Photographs, 4.75" x 6.5" on larger mounts, 7" x 9" overall, showing the hanging of a Filipino insurgent. Black US troops have the unpleasant duty of guarding the scene as the condemned is shown in successive images having his sentence read to him, having his feet tied just before being hanged, and, moments later, hanging below the gallows as one of the nearby soldiers averts his eyes. With some scuffing of mounts, including a crease in one corner of the third, and minor surface defects, otherwise all VG. Estimate US$ 200-300
