A choice Broadside signed in type by Queen Anne, 1/8/1703, announcing "A PROCLAMATION For Encouraging Seamen and Landmen to Enter themselves on Board Her Majesties Ships of War...We do hereby Promise and Declare, That all such Seamen, and Able-Bodied Landmen (not above the Age of fifty five Years and not under the Age of Sixteen Years) who...Voluntarily Enter themselves in Our Service...shall Receive, as Our Free Gift and Royal Bounty, the respective Rewards and Allowances following...Every such Seamen [sic] Two Months Pay, and every such Able-Bodied Landmen One Months Pay..."
