1952 April - Formal photograph of the Queen by Dorothy Wilding, two months after the accession, signed "Elizabeth R" below the image in bold blue ink, remarkably unfaded and amongst the finest seen in this condition. The Queen was photographed wearing the George IV diadem, the Garter Star and the Nizam of Hyderabad diamond necklace she received as a wedding present in 1947.
