1982 Cover bearing a set of four Falkland Islands stamps commemorating the Duke of Edinburgh's award, postmarked at Port Stanley and addressed to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher at Downing Street. Signed by her and Rex Hunt, the Governor, who was in office during the Argentinian invasion of the Islands that year. With the cover is a typed letter on Government House notepaper, addressed "Dear Prime Minister" and signed "yours sincerely, Rex Hunt" with the text reproducing his message to the PM reporting on his return to the Island after hostilities had concluded, "It is midwinter, Government House is a shambles and I am delighted to be back" (2)
