Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent
1943 July 5th, autograph letter from Princess Marina (1906-1968) on a notecard from Coppins, written to Mrs Bruce, the housekeeper at Windsor Castle, thanking her "for the lovely pink bunny you so kindly sent Michael. He loves it and likes patting it to hear it squeak!" Prince Michael (b1942) celebrated his first birthday, sadly without his father. Prince George, Duke of Kent, had been killed in an aircrash the previous year. Michael was six weeks old. A poignant item with its mourning envelope (2)
