Queen Maria Carolina (1752-1814)
1805 Formal letter addressed in French to "A Monsieur mon Frere Le Roi d' Angleterre" (King George III,) signed "Charlotte" by the Queen and de facto ruler of Naples, who was known in family circles as Charlotte. She expresses condolences on the death of the King's brother, William Henry, Duke of Gloucester. The letter has the original red wax seals and pink silk ties.
