1624-80, a selection of eight documents:

1624 (25 June) order signed by Sir Richard Weston, Chancellor of the Exchequer to pay £10 for services rendered to the King by Daniel More; counter signed by Sir Robert Pye, Auditor of the Receipt.

1636 (7 Sept.) grant on vellum issued by Sir Bevil Grenville of a licence to Philip Wadland, Merchant of Bideford to sell lands in the Parish of Kilkhampton. Signed "Bevill Grenvile" and "Grenville Cary".

1660 (25 Dec.) order signed by Thomas Wriothesley, Earl of Southampton to Sir Robert Pye order him to pay £1,400 to Daniel O'Neal.

1661 (24 Feb.) order signed twice by Thomas Wriothesley, Earl of Southampton to Sir Robert Pye ordering the payment of £200 to George Downing, Envoy Extraordinary to the United Provinces.

1661 (14 March) order signed by Thomas Wriothesley, Earl of Southampton to Sir Robert Pye awarding a grant of £250 to Nathaniel Smith for services to his late Majesty "in the time of the late trubles".

1661 (15 Oct.) commission on vellum issued by John Granville, 1st Earl of Bath, as Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, signed "Bath" appointing John Trelawney to be Captain of a volunteer troop of horse.

1667 (11th April) order signed by Sir John Berkeley, Sir John Duncombe and Sir Thomas Chicheley as joint Master-Generals of the Ordinance at the Tower to Colonel Legg, Lieutenant-General of the Ordinance to pay £250 to Jeremiah Smith for making a for or platform at or near Bridlington.

1680 (16 Aug.) acquittance document signed by Robert Copping, John Rowling and others.
