Captain Wendy Oxford
1649 (30 Aug.) letter signed "Wendy Oxford" reading "Delivered then by Capt: Wendy Oxford unto Henry Brandreth of London Clothrurery (?) ye some of two hundred pounds of lawful English money and the said Wendy Oxford is within three months now next ensueing to deliver two hundred pounds of the like money before the said Henry Brandreth in concession of which two sums' are paid and to be paid to the said Henry Brandrethis to procure and cause to be assigned unto ye said Wendy Oxford ... soe many souldiers Arreares the Debenters whereof are registered by John Snow or William Woodocke as lette after ye rate of fower shillings sixe pence & pound".

Also signed at foot John Cheek(?) as witness and Christoph Goughe.

Some crude preservaton work along folds nevertheless sound.
