A mixed collection on leaves which includes Great Northern Railway "E/NR" night mail in black on 1848 and 1856 entires and "M/NR" in red on 1849 wrapper; a group of "GWR" perfin on Q.V. Stationery card and K.E.VII 1d. on envelope, Taff Vale "TV/R" perfin on K.E.VII ½d. stationery cards (3); postmarks with Lincoln Sorting Carriage, Railway Sorting Offices of Brompton, Filey, Helmsley, Long Preston and Beal; a group of Q.E. covers, many commemorative and bearing adhesives including G.E.R., Vale of Rheidol, Talyllyn, Festiniog, Ravenglass and British Rail. (55 covers). Also A group of documents with 1897 Post Office Notice No.3 "Conveyance of Single Post Letters by Railway" giving details to the issue of stamps and the railway companies taking part in the railway letter post, a small fragment missing from foot, some repairs and soiling; 1893 a copy of the contract between Her Majesty's Postmaster General and The London Chatham and Dover Railway Company for the conveyance of mails, very fine; a specimen Train Letter envelope with printed instructions and 1964 Diagrammatic Key to Passenger Services map.
