1924-60 a Parcel Stamp collection with London, Midland and Scottish including stamps used as letter post with 4d. black on white on 1924 envelope from Birmingham to Sheffield with pair of K.G.V 1½d.; 3d. vermilion on 1928 envelope from Balquhidder to Gosport; 3d. orange on 1936 envelope from Llanderis to London with K.G.V 1½d.; 3d. orange on 1939 envelope from Glasgow to London with K.G.VI 1d. pair; 8d. orange on 1941 O.H.M.S. envelope from Euston to Donnington; 4d. orange on 1948 envelope from Glasgow to Cranleigh with K.G.VI 2d.; 8d. orange on 1953 envelope from Woodford Halse to Clapham with Q.E. 2½d.; 1946 parcel tag bearing 5d. and 4/- orange from Baidovan & Downfield to Bridge of Allan, 1950 envelope from Manchester to Blackpool bearing 1/- red, unused News envelope addressed to Skipton bearing 1d. (4) and 2d. pair in orange plus a few used stamps including Midland Division 11d. used on piece; British Rail collection in album of mostly covers with Paid Parcel labels used as letter stamps on envelopes (3) from 1954 and on parcel label; red on white Paid Parcel on envelopes (6), Railway Executive 2d. and 3d. stamps in envelope to Wolverhampton plus 7d. with Newspaper 4d. on envelope to Stamford; Newspaper stamps used on various covers (5) and similar decimal surcharge covers (6) and decimals (4). 1981 registered railway letter (rare). Also some other, earlier, items including 1915 Train Message; also United Automobile Services collection on leaves from 1930's including 14lbs stamp on part parcel with the commercial address label from Newcastle-on-Tyne to Alnwick; 1950's labels (8) handstamped "specimen" plus 3lbs. label on part parcel to the Herald Office, Harrowgate; 1960's labels including "specimen" (4), different values used and on pieces (3) and cover (3), 1970's dual currency 1/- (5p) unused (4). used (3) and on cover (5), 2/- (10p) unused (4) and used on parcel tag with 1/-. An appealing group.
