Large Garter: 4d. rose in an irregular block of five tied on 1861 17 July) large wrapper to the Isle of Wight by "698" numerals with Shaftesbury despatch c.d.s. at left and Ryde arrival (18.7) on the reverse; there is some creasing and soiling as to be expected from this heavy-weight package of legal documents. A scarce franking. Also Small Garter watermark stamp-sized paper, unprinted, and perforated, Medium Garter 4d. carmine on blue, glazed paper overprinted "specimen" type 2, Large Garter 4d. rose-carmine block of six used.
