Europe: 1851 (16 May) long entire letter to Porto bearing 10d. brown, die 2 pairs (3) and singles (2) used with 1841 1d. (large margins) and 2d. part horizontal pair (no margins) folded around entire, the right-hand stamp torn away, perhaps on opening, cancelled by "498" numerals with blue Porto arrival (22.7) and Portuguese oval due postmark in red indicating '85rs' to pay, the reverse with Manchester despatch and London transit c.d.s. The Embossed 10d. stamps are generally fresh with good margins making an important franking and a very appealing cover. B.P.A. Certificate (2022). Photo
