With Handstruck "1": A group of covers with 1846 (4 July) small envelope to Cheltenham bearing 841 1d., plate 65, BA tied by Irish "388" numeral with Rathdrum despatch in lower corner; redirected to Lyme Regis with a fine strike of "1" in bluish with Lyme arrival alongside (7.7); 1847 (8 May) Free Trade envelope addressed to the Duchess of Sutherland in St. James' Palace and redirected to Castle Howard bearing 1841 1d. red-brown, IC tied by London numeral with "1" alongside; 1850 (20 Dec.) small envelope to Basingstoke then redirected to Winchester bearing 1841 1d., plate 95, PC tied by "71" of Biggleswade, two strikes of Basingstoke c.d.s. and a good strike of "1" in bluish ink; 1862 (16 Sept.) envelope to Binfield bearing 1d. Stars (2) tied by "105" numeral on Bracknell, redirected to London (accounting for the second 1d. cancelled in Bracknell) and again to Chertsey with further 1d. Stars tied by London W. duplex with boxed "redirected/after ..." in red and a superb strike of handstruck "1" (late fee?). Also 1852 (15 Jan.) entire letter from Antigua to London charged "1/-" in black ink, the reverse with Antigua open circle despatch c.d.s., London c.d.s. (2.2) and straight-line Bishopsgate in blue; a very early stamped cover from Antigua. Generally fine and an interesting group.
