A group of covers (6) with Plate 5 SD tied to 1840 (8 July) "O H M S" entire to Linlithgow by scarlet-red Maltese Cross, the flap bearing Edinburgh despatch c.d.s. and the scroll "too late" in black; Plate 6 FF, tied by dull red Maltese Cross to wrapper to Bakewell with "liverpool/ship letter" alongside; JB intense shade tied by Maltese Cross in orange-red shade to 1840 (14 Nov.) entire to Leslie with R.P.S. Certificate (2022); Plate 7 AE tied to 1841 (31 Dec.) entire to Derby by red Maltese Cross, readdressed to Leicester with manuscript "1" added; Plate 8 NL tied by black Maltese Cross to 1842 (23 Feb.) entire from Hastings to North Walsham, Norfolk, redirected to Lambeth with manuscript "1"; and NL tied by Maltese Cross of Kirkcaldy in brown shade to wrapper to Aberdeen, with Brandon Certificate (2001). Mostly four margined, close in some instances otherwise fine and a very good group.
