A19 (forme 2), 1840 (7 May) to Eccleshall cancelled by a neat strike of red Maltese cross, just struck on the right side of Britannia with London despatch c.d.s. on the flap which opens well for display. Incorrectly delivered with "Missent to" in red ink next to Ellesmere open top c.d.s. There is some light soiling but this is the earliest recorded missent Mulready. Photo
