A16 (forme 2) 1842 (6 Aug.) to Bristol cancelled by a good strike of black Maltese Cross which shows solid oval in the central diamond and is struck to the right of Britannia with a faint strike of straight-line "Kingston" alongside, the flap with London despatch and Bristol arrival c.d.s. With Advert for the Atlas assurance Company (S.G. MA103h). An interesting postmark, the London Maltese Cross does occasionally appear with small numbers in the central diamond; Also A81 (forme 4) 1841 (12 April) Orger and Myron, Southampton, Hampshire advertising sheet to London cancelled by two black Maltese Crosses and marked with manuscript "Too Late". A good duo.
