Four examples cancelled by barred numeral: A10 (frome 1) 1845 (15 Oct.) from Andover to Winchester cancelled by '15'; A35 1856 (16 May) forme 3 from Oxford to Leeds cancelled by '603' and marked "Postage paid"; A226 1847 (27 Sept.) forme 6 London, Edinburgh and Dublin Life Assurance Company advertising sheet from Bristol to London cancelled by '134'; and stereo obscured Scottish Provident Institution blue advertising sheet 1849 (13 Dec.) from Doncaster to Halifax cancelled by two strikes of '225' and Doncaster despatch d.s. on face and Leeds and Halifax d.s. on reverse in blue. One or two small imperfections otherwise a fine and scarce group.
