A selection cancelled by red Maltese Cross (7): A2 (2), A4, A68, A234, A239, better markings include "exeter/se 9 1840/py post" and undated 'Darwen' postmark separately on face, Maltese Cross of Folkstone showing some doubling of lines, and shades with bright vermilion, dull red, and 'rusty-red' of Ware (latter with Brandon Certificate (2004). Some small imperfections though generally fine and an appealing group.
