A selection of stampless covers, many showing instructional marks, and includes 1671 entire to Ferrybridge with small London Bishopmark and "5/off" Receiver's handstamp; a "Refused" letter bearing crown over "This Letter has been refused"; framed "put in after/7 o'clock at night"; "paid at/ballina" in blue, "paid at/Galway", "FREE" in circle. 1811 entire from the Duke of Kent and Strathearn (Queen Victoria's father) with 2d. handstamps, 1839 Edinburgh handstruck "4", mail from America and India, 1838 2d. charity rate entire.
