1909-13 Essays
A requisition was passed to De La Rue on December 15 1909, calling for a new one-colour issue. During the next few years the printers submitted a number of different essays each with a vignette based on the "Badge of the Colony" but none was ever accepted and the idea was finally dropped.
"K" - 10/- composite essay in large vertical format with frame and vignette in carmine and head in deep yellow-green, affixed to card (90x115mm.) marked "Colours reversed on Design" and dated "April 11th 13". Photo
