Banca Nationala, Romania, hand-executed back essay for 500 Lei, 1934,

Reverse is hand stamped with '15th June 1934' suggesting that this was a preliminary design for the back of the August 1934 Issue. Similar to the previous lot but in purple, with several significant differences in design.

(Pick 36 for type), uncirculated, mounted on board, tape on reverse of board, small marks and staining on the board, finger prints of reverse of board, paper label affixed on top of board with text 'Designed by Bradbury Wilkinson & Co Ltd' (back progressive proof)
