(i.m.) Ih'C : AVTEM : TRAnSIEnS : PER : MEDIV : ILLORVM : IBAT, double saltire stops, A unbarred in GRA and IBAT, floriate cross, crowned leopards in angles, trefoil-tipped central panel, C at centre, 7.72g [119.14grns], 2h, i.m. cross pattée (LAL, Group B, no. 4; Doubleday 267; Schneider I, 97; Stewartby p. 253, type B1; North 1235; S.1504), deft clipping and a minor scuff to reverse legend at 9 o'clock, otherwise beautifully crisp and uniform in the strike, and further accentuated by underlying lustre, extremely fine, scarce in this exemplary grade
