(i.m.) IhE x AVTEM x TRAIICIEIIS : P 'x MEDIVM x ILLORVM x IBAT, saltire stops, unbarred Roman Ns, floriate cross, crowned leopards in angles, with additional lys in second quarter and small broken annulets flanking upper lys, small closed E at centre, 7.72g [119.14grns], 5h, i.m. cross pattée (LAL, obverse die BB; Doubleday 104-106 same obverse die; Schneider I, cf. 50; North 1183; S.1490), some wear to the high-points and subtle central crack, small red-wax deposit in waves, rich toning, about very fine
