Iron Age Britain, Catuvellauni, Cunobelin (AD 9-40), AV Stater, 'Wild A' Series, Camulodunum (Colchester), corn ear without central stalk, CA to left, MV to right, no privy marks, rev. horse right, dashes for mane, star and branch above CVNO below, heart shape between forelegs, 5.480g [84.57grns], 3h (VA 1931-3; BMC 1793; Mack -; S.284; ABC 2780), minor surface pitting from antiquity, otherwise struck on a compact flan with well-centred devices retaining a bright, attractive lustre, a most pleasingly good very fine
