Iron Age Britain, Catuvellauni, Cunobelin (AD 9-40), AV Stater, 'Wild A' Series, Camulodunum (Colchester), corn ear without central stalk, CA to left, MV to right, rev. horse right, dashes for mane, branch above and CVNO below, 5.465g [84.34grns], 5h (VA 1931; BMC 1789 same reverse die; Mack 211; S.285; ABC 2777), some localised softness to high points, otherwise struck on a thick, compact flan, with bright honey-gold, a pleasingly bold very fine
