Iron Age Britain, Catuvellauni, Cunobelin (AD 9-40), AV Stater, 'Wild A' Series, Camulodunum (Colchester), corn ear without central stalk, CA to left, MV to right, rev. horse right, dashes for mane branch above and CVNO below, 5.511g [85.05grns], 2h (VA 1931; BMC 1784ff.; Mack 211; S.285; ABC 2777), obverse struck significantly off-centre, with a few scattered field scuffs, otherwise a notably compact strike with crisp details surviving on the horse’s torso, in a paler rose-gold fabric, very fine
