(x) Henry I 'Beauclerc' (1100-1135), 'Pellets in Quatrefoil' Type, Penny, Thetford, Acus, [+ HEN]RICVS R, crowned bust facing, holding sceptre, star in right field, rev. + ACVS [: ON : T]ETFORD : pellets in quatrefoil with star in centre and pellets on limbs, four inverted lys around, 1.27g [19.60grns], 11h (PWP Carlyon-Britton, "Some Coins of Henry I", BNJ [1927], p. 104 this coin listed; SCBI -; North 870; BMC XIV [1916 ccxliii, this coin]; S.1275), officially test-snicked on edge, and struck soft to portrait as usual for issue, the reverse otherwise very fine and accentuated with colourful toning in recesses, very rare, and with a fine pedigree back to the mysterious 'Bournemouth' (1901) trove
