Euacbius A. Gracias was born in India on 8 September 1876 and having served in the China 1900 campaign, was married at Rawalpindi in 1904. Latterly an officer in the Indian Military Accounts Department who served on the North West Frontier in 1919, he was incapacitated and retired to England. Living in Billericay, Essex by 1939, he died on 3 June 1940.
