Colin Campbell Brough was born at Rodchester, Victoria on 24 August 1916 and enlisted first on 17 February 1939 with the 2nd Heavy Brigade, Royal Australian Artillery. He appears to have been discharged on the outbreak of the Second World War but re-enlisted on 17 August 1942 at Adeliade River, Northern Territories. Serving in Ordnance Depots throughout the war Brough was Appointed a Warrant Officer and remained in service post-war, earning his Meritorious Service Medal upon his discharge on 31 October 1961; sold together with copied research.
