Tom Elliott was a native of Buxtonborn at Chapel-en-le-Frith on 27 December 1894, the son of Thomas and Beatrice Elliot of 4 Heath Cottages, Fairfield, Derby. He appears to have been living at Buxton by the outbreak of the Great War, Elliot entered the war in France on 30 May 1915. His award was announced in the Gazette which covers awards made for the Battle of Amiens. After the war Elliot settled back in Buxton where he appeared upon the 1939 census, he died in Stockport in April 1974; sold together with copied and handwritten research.
