The Nicholas Rhodes Collection of Nepalese Coins and Medals: Part One
These six coins, along with the Mananka coins, were acquired circa 1993 by Nicholas Rhodes from the Kathmandu coin dealer Purushatom Lal Shrestha. He reported to Mr. Rhodes that he had acquired a hoard of about 550 worn copper coins that were found in western Nepal (near Pokhara).
Kushan coins were believed to have been the inspiration for the Licchavi coins of Nepal.
