Hentschel Zinc Block Essays, a proof in black of the second essays with thinner figures of value, showing the 2d. and 3d. values printed together on thick wove paper (105 x 137 mm.), also a piece of identical blank wove paper (45 x 137 mm.) presumably cut from the left of the original complete block of six impressions, showing pencil manuscript "2nd Proof", some light creasing (one runs between the stamps) and a few marginal pinholes well clear of the designs and in absolutely no way detracting from the stunning appearance of this exceedingly rare item- thought to be the only known example with no complete sheet showing all six values recorded in private hands.
