1814 (10 Oct.) entire letter from Lymington to "New England Coffee House, London", then on to New York, the face struck with London Paid 13.10.14 tombstone and manuscript rates "8d." (prepaid to London), then "8½d." to New York, the reverse struck with superb "post paid withdrawn ship letter/london" 20.10.14. A wonderful example of this scarce marking, and early - the Withdrawn Ship Letter Act having only come into force on the 10th October of the same yea.
