1808 (10 April) entire letter from Havant to "Messrs Cox & Son" in London, sent containing half bank notes for £200, noting "Enclosed you will find the second halves of Bank Notes for £200, which as the first halves have arrived you need not trouble yourselves to acknowledge", pre paid "7", endorsed "Treble/ ½ more to pay CP", deleted and eventually charged at a double rate latter, charged with a further 7d.; the face struck with "havant/73." mileage mark, crescent/[CROWN] "more to/pay", and London "f/paid" tombstone d.s. Fine and attractive.
