1777-1838, a selection of Penny Post markings on cover (10) including 1777 (2 Dec.) entire letter from Edinburgh to Leith with Williamson's Penny Post dated "e. penny post not paid" handstamp, 1796 (5 July) entire letter from Richmond to Stortford with wonderfully struck "Richmond/Unpaid/Penny Post"; also "Halifax/P.y Post", "rougham/Penny Post", "Lynn/Penny Post" (2), "taunton/4 fe 1836/py post", "bawtry/Penny Post", "Bedale/P.y Post", "Coleford/Py Post". Fine and a good group.
