1661 (25 April) entire letter from William Morice, Secretary of State, with address panel "ffor my much honoured Brother, Edmond Prideaux Esq. at, Padstow in Cornwall, by the poste to Plymouth", signed "Will Morice" to indicate his free franking privilege; contents include mention of a £300 p.a. royal pension for his son. Dated less than a week following the introduction of the Bishop Mark and during the period of uncertainty over free frank privilege. Most interesting and rare.
