Three of the Earliest Known Overseas Letters from Britain
1458 (15 April, 17 October and 18 November), three entire letters ex the same correspondence from "Londra" to "Giovanni y Angelo Baldesi in Venezia", all with clear "a/o" merchant guild marking, the earliest noted as having arrived in Venice on 16 Dec. A most important trio and very rare, less than 2% of the Merchant mail correspondence were sent from London.
