1891 (12 Dec.) internal missionary letter (in French) from the French Roman Catholic bishop, headed "Rubaga", acknowledging the receipt of a letter from the Anglican archdeacon dated 19 October from Masaka; the letter includes "I am happy to be able to continue the courteous relations that have always existed between our two missions" (translated).
Note: This letter would have been carried by casual runner. Only six weeks after this letter was written, the "courteous relations" exploded into the "Battle of Mengo".
