1879 (17 Apr.) letter from C.W. Pearson, C.M.S., at Rubaga written to Giegler, then Chief Engineer of the Sudanese Telegraphs, starting "M'tesa has suddenly offered to send letters to Mrooli for us...", including a list of necessaries and mentioning the arrival of Copplestone and Stokes and also that of the Mission from Algeria consisting of five Jesuits

Note: The writer had arrived in Rubaga (Kampala) via the Nile route in February 1879.
