1847 (6 June) cover from Patna with boxed Bearing despatch datestamp and with a superb strike of the sender's seal. The sender is apparently Jang Bahadar's spy and the contents summarised as "Royal Priest Rangnath Pandit alongside 200/250 persons has contacted with Thapa group. He mentioned to Thapa that he shall be going to Sangauli but the matter should be kept a secret". An important item related with the exile of Rajendra. Photo

Note: Surrendra was enthroned on 12th May. Rajendra was in Sangauli. At Banaras he had been surrounded by a large number of Court exiles from Nepal. At their head were the guru Prashad Shah and guru Rangnath Pandit
