Gajarat Mishra (guru to the Royal family): 1815 (Oct.) letter to the Katmandu Court regarding the peace treaty with the British; the letter reads, "General Bradshaw has told us that the 15 day deadline has passed and if there is no positive reply of the Draft Treaty they will have to launch another attack. We requested him some more time, on this he was very angry, however, he allowed 1-2 days. We are really anxious waiting for your reply". A significant and important letter

Gajraj Mishra was sent to Saugali to negotiate a treaty with the British. This modified Draft Treaty was sent by the Governor of Calcutta. Mishra asked for 15 day to show this to the Katmandu Court. This letter was written just after the 15 day deadline. It is recorded that there was no reply from the Katmandu Court. Mishra was allowed 12 days to go to Katmandu to finalise the Treaty. He returned within the allotted time with the permission that he could sign the Treaty, which was signed on 28th November 1815
