1950 copy of Tibetan Government's letter delivered to the U.S. ambassador in India with typewritten English translation on one side. The letter is a reaction to the Peking government's announcement of offering autonomy to Tibet. With the expectation of communist aggression the request for arms and assistance from India and U.S.A., in particular are funds in U.S. dollars, weapons including field artillery and machine guns and field service radios. From Kalon Lama Ramps, Foreign Minister and closed with handstamp in black (20x20 mm) with three lines of Horyig script and sun and crescent at top. A remarkable document. Photo
