Charles I (1625-1649), Sixpences (9), Tower (8), under King (7), Group B, Type 1a1, 1626, second bust left, VI behind, rev. square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, 16-26 above, 8h, m.m. cross calvary (Brooker 577-580; North 2236; S.2807), creased and straightened, toned, about fine; also, Group C, Type 2a, 1630-1631, third bust, rev. oval-garnished shield, dividing C-R above, 10h, m.m. plume (Brooker 591; North 2238; S.2809), clipped and rubbed, good; also, Group D (2), Type 3, 1633-1634, fourth bust, rev. oval-garnished shield, dividing C-R at sides, 2h, m.m. harp (Brooker 604-607; North 2240; S.2811), lightly cabinet toned, very fine; another, Type 3a, 1634-1635, no inner circles, rev. much as last without C-R, 9h, m.m. crown (Brooker 617-618; North 2241; S.2813), lightly toned, about very fine; additionally, Group E (2), 1636-1638, fifth larger bust, rev. square-topped shield over short cross moline, 5h, m.m. tun, rubbed, toned, largely fine; another, 1638-1639, smaller 'Aberystwyth' bust, 10h, m.m. anchor, off-struck on an irregular planchet, lightly toned, a pleasing very fine; additionally, under Parliament (3), Group F, Type 4.3, 1643-1644, sixth 'Briot' bust, wearing falling lace collar, 4h, m.m. star (Brooker 648-649; North 2246; S.2817), off-struck and historically scuffed, otherwise toned, fine; also, Type 4.4, 1643-1644, late 'Aberystwyth' bust of neat style left, 1h, m.m. (R) (S.2818), clipped, toned, fine; another, Group G, Type 4.4, 1645-1646, as last, 2h, m.m. sun (Brooker 656; North 2247; S.2819), toned, good fine; additionaly, Civil War Issues, Royalist Bristol, 1646, 8h, m.m. B/-, creased with flatness and some tooling, mediocre but scarce (9)
