Plantagenet Lords of Ireland, Prince John (1177-1199), Second Coinage, Round Halfpennies, c. 1185-1208, Dublin (2), Adam, + IOHANNES DOM, Ns ligate, diademed head facing with half sidecurls, and large pellet for chin, rev. ADAM ON DWE, voided cross potent with annulets in angles, 0.73g, 4h (O'Sullivan [1964], dies 7/2 [Adam]; S.6205), light grey tone, otherwise a pleasingly good very fine; another, Nicolas, + IOHANNES DOO, Ns ligated, similar without curls, rev. + NICOLAS ON DW, voided cross potent with annulets in angles, 0.75g, 4h (O'Sullivan 1964, dies 3/2 [Nicolas]; S.6205), slightly off-struck otherwise beautifully cabinet toned, good very fine (2)
