Hiberno-Norse (c. 1065-1100), Phase V, Penny, in the style of an Æthelred II Long Cross Penny, stylised legend, distinctive bust of 'few component lines' left, pellet chin, cross before, rev. stylised legend, voided long cross, stylised hand in first quarter, quatrefoil of pellets in fourth, 0.91g, 12h (SCBI 8 [British Museum], 208 same reverse die; SCBI 22 [Copenhagen] -; SCBI 32 [Ulster Museum] -; S.6140 variety) soft in parts and somewhat bright, nevertheless with a bolder portrait, almost very fine
