Durango-San Juan de Guadalupe Sub # 3 25c. red (#15-72), imperforate, used on cover, not tied but with clear docketing, bearing the rare sub #3, margins all around, dated December 13, 1872. Durango was the only district to apply additional sub-office number overprints to twelve suboffices for a short period (September 1872-May 1873), all being very rare. Only 13 covers with sub numbers are known.2025 MEPSI certificate. Scott 95 var; NF $250 off cover.
