Durango-Cuéncame Sub # 1 25c. red (#15-72), imperforate, bearing the rare sub #1 from Cuéncame, margins all around, used with pen cancellation. Durango is the only district that applied additional sub-office number overprints to twelve suboffices for a brief period (September 1872-May 1873), all being very rare. 2025 MEPSI certificate. Scott 95 var; NF $300.
